As Logistics Engineer you will work on improvement projects within the Advanced Interlayers Supply Chain organization. You will manage logistics projects focusing on optimal material flow, process automation, and utilizing warehouse capacity and layouts. You will be involved in the following activities:


  • Develop concepts and scenarios, to ensure the Supply Chain organization is well aligned with the AI business organization and Ghent organization;
  • Conduct projects to achieve improved methods, layouts and work-flow in the domains of warehousing, packaging, planning, logistics or other operations.
  • Develop processes and procedures to enhance and optimize logistics operations;
  • Work closely with stakeholders to reduce logistics costs while maximizing Service Levels;
  • Identify cost savings and improvement opportunities within Supply Chain.
  • Develop and monitor clear KPIs to ensure flawless operational performance;


    The Logistics Engineer will report to the EMEA Supply Chain Manager, Advanced Interlayers.

     This is what you bring:

  • Masters degree in Business Engineering preferred, or equivalent
  • Relevant experience within Logistics is a plus
  • Knowledge of warehousing and logistics technology, material movements and warehousing techniques
  • Experience with project management and working with ERP (SAP/OMP) or APS systems is certainly a plus
  • Experience with LEAN and Six Sigma is a plus
  • Team player with excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Structured, analytical and continuous improvement mindset
