The role
The Scheduler defines and executes the short-term production schedule required to execute the Master Production Schedule (MPS).
The role primarily deals with detailed planning, scheduling, and inventory management over the short-term (up to 3 months).
The scheduler will regularly interface with the supply manager, demand manager, manufacturing area leaders, customer service and sales representatives in the region.
Responsibilities
• Develop and implement a detailed production schedule that supports business strategy and communicate to key stakeholders.
• Monitor and optimize supply plans to maximize value through a focus on asset optimization, plant balancing, logistics costs, inventory control, and product transition minimization.
• Contribute to supply meeting to develop consensus with demand plans.
• Evaluate new business opportunities and provide assessment of supply capability.
• Model "what-if" scenarios and propose optimized solutions based on variable supply/demand conditions.
• Identify constraints and propose alternatives where demand plans cannot be met.
• Identify, communicate, and escalate variances from plan. Manage and resolve variances and exceptions.
• Determine if order commitment and/or sales allocation plans are warranted and propose plan modifications required to meet goals.
Qualifications
• Master’s degree in business engineering (or equivalent).
• Experience with supply chain in a production environment is an asset.
• Native Dutch speaker with fluent knowledge of English
• A flexible team player with high resistance to stress and good communication skills
• Analytical minded and proficient with computer systems.
• Knowledge of SAP is a plus
