Role Profile
The Maintenance and Contractor Coordinator ensure the facility’s safe and efficient operation by bridging the gap between internal staff, management, and external service providers. This position will manage work order lifecycles, maintenance metrics, maintenance and contractor documentation, maintenance vehicle management, enforce safety compliance, oversee third-party vendor contracts from bidding to completion, assist with Parts look up and orders, asset integrity plans and execution as well as support day to day maintenance needs and functions.
Responsibilities
- Assist maintenance planners and schedulers in planning required inspections, preventive, predictive and emergency repair maintenance related to equipment, infrastructure, building and grounds.
- Be knowledgeable of applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Proactively identify and personally correct unsafe conditions, unsafe acts, and environmental problems.
- Must be able to function at elevations on platforms, ladders, articulating or scissor lifts.
- Prepare equipment for maintenance/repairs and perform mechanical/electrical repairs as applicable.
- Knowledgeable of lock and tag and safe work procedures; enforce and follow accordingly.
- Problem-solve to determine root causes for failures.
- Be knowledgeable of and able to operate the various electronic communications systems such as Outlook, SAP, Share-point, Microsoft Office products.
- Be able to use Windows-based software on company computers.
- Maintain a clean work area and complete daily housekeeping checklists.
- Be capable of working special assignments such as writing procedures, developing strategies, or attending special training on various work schedules.
- Train on technical tasks related to equipment in the assigned area.
- Assist Process Improvement groups.
- Work overtime as needed.
- Be able to respond to emergency situations and handle repairs in a timely manner.
- Demonstrates a willingness and desire to function in a team setting and exhibit behaviors that would support overall company goals and objectives.
- Actively participates in improvement teams, projects, and safety programs as well as follows and upholds the Eastman Core Values.
- Demonstrate ownership and proactive approach to maintaining all equipment at the sites. Properly document work performed and maintained records as required.
- Ability and willingness to travel between All Martinsville sites and support other maintenance activities as required by leadership.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent technical degree preferred.
- 3-5 years od Maintenance or technical scheduling experience.
- Be able to perform the essential elements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Have successfully completed appropriate training for the job.
- Be capable of providing clear and concise verbal and written communications.
- Possess and practice good organizational skills.
- Must be able to function effectively in a team environment as well as be a self-starter and individual contributor and contribute positively to the department’s efforts.
- Have, or possess the ability to learn, a general knowledge of the facility, safety and regulatory requirements for the department, basic computer skills, basic language and mathematics skills, and become knowledgeable of a variety of software packages including corporate systems, i.e., Microsoft Office products, Intranet, SAP, etc.
- Demonstrate a commitment to safety, proactively working safely and protecting the environment.
- Be able to accept and provide constructive feedback.
- Position is salary, but employee must be able to work both routine and non-routine hours, weekends, holidays as needed and be on call for emergencies.
- Must be able to climb, lift, and push with no special restrictions.
- Must occasionally access and work at elevated locations on platforms, in tight areas under machines and confined spaces.
- Must be capable of handling stressful emergency situations and do complex troubleshooting and then take safe and timely corrective action while communicating outward those actions and plans.
The base salary range for this position is $84,000 to $115,500k.
