As a Cost Analyst supporting Eastman’s Performance Films business, you will work closely with the Martinsville Operations and Supply Chain teams to accurately record and report monthly manufacturing conversion costs, report performance metrics, develop forecasts and budgets, and support site/department leadership with planning and analyzing performance. 

General Responsibilities: 


  • Perform monthly financial close process for site and departments, including cost center analysis, material ledger reviews, and communicating monthly results to site leaders
  • Develop budgets and forecasts and help integrate those into overall business plans
  • Analyze production costs and department performance (Conversion Cost, MUV, Yield, etc.) 
  • Provide department leaders with technical accounting guidance and ensure adherence to compliance requirements
  • Own all Product costing activities and support Inventory related processes
  • Provide decision support analysis for business strategies, operational changes, new product introductions, and any other business choices that could impact financial results





  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance or related degree
  • 3+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a Manufacturing environment
  • Foundational accounting and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) knowledge, including SOX Inventory controls
  • Working knowledge of key systems / tools is a plus (SAP, Excel, PowerBI / Tableau, etc.)
  • Possess analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Process automation experience and thinking preferable
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and meet tight deadlines
  • Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Individuals should be self-motivated and have the initiative to resolve problems


Location – Martinsville, VA (or Remote/Hybrid)
