The Role

 

In this role, you are responsible for day to day management and growth of your assigned Channel Management, Trade Partners and territory. You need to already have experience and feel comfortable in a sales role and prove business savvy in dealing with senior levels at our Distributor Partners. You will develop phone-based account and territory management plans, generate sales leads and ensure ongoing rapport with existing and potential business. Approximately 10% travel is required for this role to internal sales meetings and sometimes to get to know key Channel Partners or occasionally follow up with them face to face, if required.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and utilize territory management plan for our key Trading Partners in Chemical Intermediates (CI)
  • Support the Global Olefin Business Unit Group in the region by being in charge of understanding and mapping the markets for the Olefin product lines which should be linked right into the strategies of the Global Product and Pricing Managers in the USA/Kingsport
  • Make outbound follow-up calls to existing Distributors via telephone and e-mail cross-sell and
    up-sell
  • Handle inbound, unsolicited prospect calls, internet leads, and convert them into sales
  • Service existing accounts consisting of order follow-ups; complaint handling; resolving credit concerns; sample follow-ups; and other account related issues
  • Communicate the entire offering and value, including product/service features and benefits, prices, and credit terms
  • Provide ongoing sales demand forecasts for the business
  • Negotiate business to close including pricing, sales terms and other conditions
  • Regularly interface with pricing/demand management, supply chain, customer service and direct sales colleagues.

 

 

Desired Profile

  • Result-oriented with a relentless drive and exceptional communication skills
  • Experience with Sales Force.com and/or other sales systems and tools
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Passion for selling, tenacious, inquisitive

 

Qualifications

  • Commercial Degree required
  • 2-5 years’ prior experience in commercial, marketing or relevant sales roles
  • Fluent communication skills in English

 

Location

 

This position is office based and can be located at either Zug/Switzerland, Merelbeke/Belgium, Rotterdam/The Netherlands or Langenfeld/Germany.
