EOD Transformation Leader

Responsibilities
- Network with TXO resources to leverage applicable best practices
- Engage and interact with Training/Safety Coordinator to ensure alignment regarding “Training” segment of Essential Operational Disciplines
- Engage with the Work Force Safety Team to maintain alignment with site policy and procedure
- Become intimately familiar with EOD Handbook
- Become familiar with site safety procedures
- Attend pertinent safety conferences
EOD
- Responsible for EOD transformation across the Manufacturing Organization
- Review TCO’s EOD gap analysis and refresh as needed
- Develop program for improving all aspects of EODs (Training, Procedures and Checklists, Equipment Monitoring, Alarm and Interlock Systems, Operator Cockpit, Shift Exchange, and Recurring Tasks), with initial focus on those areas with the largest gaps
- Engage regularly with all manufacturing and logistics crews to ensure input and buy-in from operating personnel
- Strive to create a culture where personnel understand the value of and embrace the journey to achieve excellence in EODs
Safety
- Act as a champion for personal and process safety and role model a zero incident mindset (ZIM) with intentional focus on improving the ZIM culture at TCO
- Improve interactions and safety observations in the field, building a culture where feedback on both “done well” and “opportunity for improvement” are freely delivered and gratefully accepted
- Develop methods to improve hazard recognition on all crews
- Increase collaboration on safety performance between crews and between manufacturing and maintenance organizations
- Consider utilization of TXO Safety Coach/Safety Observer model for TCO
- Develop effective model for Crew Safety Representation
- Establish Routine Crew Safety Meetings
Qualifications
- 4-Year Degree in Engineering or Related Field from Accredited University
- At least 3-5 Years experience in manufacturing
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the TCO organization
- Proficiency with Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to work in a team setting and to delegate to others
- Is passionate about personal and process safety
- Believes in and is committed to achieving a zero incident mindset culture
- Is self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision

- Familiarity with Eastman’s Essential Operational Disciplines (EOD)
