Eastman Performance Films, LLC, is seeking an energetic and self-motivated creative professional to help support its brand, product, consumer and channel development in all its aftermarket segments through a broad array of creative marketing efforts. This Junior Graphic Designer role will take on designs during the final stages of development to ensure accuracy and prepare them for print or digital publication. This position reports to the Creative Manager, based in St. Louis, MO, and has regular interaction with the Channel Marketing, Consumer Marketing, Marketing Communications, and Digital Marketing teams.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Takes creative concepts / creative direction and adapts them into a wide array of deliverables that meet the goals of key stakeholders, i.e. point-of-purchase materials, sales tools, product launch campaigns, product packaging, and product displays
  • Designs new solutions that fall within brand standards
  • Collaborates closely with the Creative Manager and other Production Artists
  • Updates Adobe Creative Suite (MAC & PC) design files with updated copy, specs or image edits needed
  • Makes various formats of supplied artwork production-ready and resolve any artwork issues that arise during print production. Also work with print vendors to resolve any production issues
  • Searches for and prepares images for online and mobile applications
  • Provides image retouching, clipping paths and additional image manipulation
  • Follows tight timelines to ensure tasks are being completed on time

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts or Graphic Design
  • Minimum of 3-5 years as Production Artist or similar role
  • Robust portfolio of completed graphic designs and creative projects
  • Solid knowledge of the printing process and pre-flighting methods
  • EXPERT knowledge of graphic design software and image editing tools (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Solid knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint
  • Experience in layout design and support for corporate trade shows and meetings
  • Creativity skills with attention to detail
  • Proven ability to stay organized, manage files and catalog art while handling multiple projects simultaneously—must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple, competing priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – soft skills in communication, influence, change management, and leadership are important for identifying the right problems, getting engagement to develop the right solutions, and delivering results in a way that maximizes value
  • Experience with or willingness to adopt internal project tracking tools, including time entry and status updates
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, digital delivery such as email and websites a plus
  • Basic video editing and motion graphics experience a plus (Adobe Premier/After Effects).

TRAVEL

  • Very minimal travel required, at most up to 5% of the time.

LOCATION

  • Based in St. Louis, Missouri.  This is not a home or remote-based position
