Role

The Regional Infrastructure Analyst is responsible for all IT Service Delivery at a site. This includes infrastructure*, business continuity, and end-user support.  This position is responsible for coordinating all IT support and projects.  In addition, they ensure remote sites remain in compliance with corporate IT policies. (e.g. IT Security)  They enable IT to be managed via corporate processes. Even though this is not always possible or practical , emphasis should always lean in this direction. 

*Network, Server, Storage, Desktop, Radio, Conference Rooms, Printers/MFD, Datacenter, Cell Phone, Datacenter, Camera Systems, Gate Access Systems, PBX/Lync, Video Conferencing etc… (any and all IT technology)

 

Responsibilities

  • Address user support that cannot be addressed by the Global Help Desk / Call Center
  • First line of support for all IT service delivery problems; PLUS, act as an extension of the corporate team to execute project tasks.
  • Network Administration: Diagnose and correct network problems, address network projects to accommodate site building renovations, construction, and demolition/closing, Managing moves/adds, etc…
  • Datacenter Administration: Monitor and secure datacenter environment, Maintain datacenter facility and business continuity. (e.g. HVAC, Power, UPS, PBX/VoIP, etc..),
  • Server / Storage Administration: Windows Server, VMware, and SAN/ NAS storage.  Rack mount and run cable for server hardware.  Install server software (e.g. OS, applications).  Maintain HW/SW stability, Maintaining Windows Security and OS patching.
  • Desk Side / User Support:  Support Windows devices.  Investigate and remedy virus and malware occurrences.  Provide printer, video conferencing support, and cell phone support.

     

  • Consult with users - Guide them to standard solutions or assist to get a non-standard solution.
  • Manage the proper disposal of IT assets
  • Coordinate vendor and contractor activity.
  • Procure equipment and services
  • Ability to support multiple geographical locations.  (Some travel)

 

Computer Science degree or Equiv.
