Primary Responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop, and facilitate training for manufacturing team members, using knowledge of the effectiveness of methods such as instructor led training, blended learning, social learning, demonstrations, on-the-job training, meetings, conferences, and workshops
  • Ensuring strategic alignment of the training department with business goals 
  • Monitor and evaluate training program’s effectiveness, success and ROI periodically and report on them
  • Evaluating individual and organizational performance to ensure training is meeting business needs and improving performance 
  • Optimizing training processes for efficiency including resolving problems and tailoring training programs as necessary
  • Selecting and managing resources, including working with both internal employees and training vendors to develop and deliver training 
  • Collaborates with various departments to develop and update training content and training tools
  • Maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments and best practices
  • Managing the technologies and technical personnel required to develop, manage and deliver training 
  • Assists set-up and maintenance of training records and documentation

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum 3 years of training and development experience
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Track record in designing and executing successful training programs
  • Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in classroom training, e-learning, workshops etc.)
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively
  • Ability to interface and communicate with all levels of employees
  • Ability to develop relationships and work in a complex, matrixed organization
  • Ability to think strategically and plan for future success
  • Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships at all levels
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Experience with MS Office.
  • Experience setting up/managing Maintenance Training/Apprenticeship programs a plus.
