At Eastman Chemical Company, the Senior Tax Analyst will have the opportunity to provide a meaningful contribution to various aspects of tax that affect large multinational corporations including:  tax planning to optimize Eastman’s global structure, transfer pricing, tax compliance, review of quarterly SEC filings, handling requests from tax authorities, and monitoring global tax legislative updates.  

⦁    Assist with development and execution of projects that optimize cash taxes the effective tax rate
⦁    Assist with business initiatives including acquisitions, formations, divestures, and closings of legal entities, along with analysis of financing and supply chain structures
⦁    Assist in the analysis of tax legislative proposals and monitor global tax law changes
⦁    Assist with transfer pricing compliance, documentation, and policy implementation
⦁    Assist in the study of business flows and entity structures and propose opportunities
⦁    Participate in discussions with various tax authorities and assist in preparing and reviewing communications with tax authorities
⦁    Review income tax returns for accuracy and ensure timely submission
⦁    Review EMEA entities’ income tax provision calculations, following ASC740 reporting standards
⦁    Assist the Accounting Group with income tax provision preparation under local statutory reporting requirements including review of deferred and current tax positions in the annual accounts
⦁    Manage income tax payments including identification of opportunities for cash flow savings
⦁    Share tax knowledge with teammates and management


⦁    [Master's degree] in Tax Law or Accounting 
⦁    3 – 5 years of relevant working experience, preferably at an International Tax advisory firm or as member of in-house tax department of a multinational corporation
⦁    Knowledge of US GAAP
⦁    Experience in ASC 740 income tax accounting rules 
⦁    Fluent in English
