This is the Role

As Process Improvement (PI) Engineer at Eastman Chemical you will lead and execute process improvement projects. You will be enabling cost savings, plant de-bottlenecking and product quality improvements through optimization of control strategies as well as qualification of alternative raw materials. As a PI Engineer you work closely with chemists, technologists and technicians to obtain proof of concepts in the laboratory environment. Meaning, you will be working in an office environment as well as in a manufacturing environment. A very challenging role in a dynamic international environment!

You are a result oriented technical specialist and got excellent communicative skills. You are a creative thinker and have a continuous improvement and learning mindset.

As a PI Engineer you are technically focused and always looking for improvement. Next to your analytical and project management skills you can motivate internal as well as external stakeholders to move forward with your ideas.

 

This is what you bring

  • Bachelor degree chemistry
  • Minimum of 10 Years’ experience in comparable job
  • Project management / project leader capabilities
  • A belt in Lean Six Sigma or similar is an advantage
