The Supply Chain Manager will report to the Director, Specialty Plastics Supply Chain..



The Supply Chain Manager has the following responsibilities and tasks to achieve the objectives:

  • Representing Global Supply Chain cross-functionally in local, regional and global teams reinforcing roles and responsibilities of the Supply Chain;
  • Working closely with Commercial, Business, Logistics, Pricing and Procurement teams and participates in periodic meetings;
  • Maintaining close working links with Manufacturing and understands production capacity if applicable;
  • Working closely with the Center of Excellence to design, maintain and ensure compliance of work instructions pertaining to local laws and regulations to facilitate effective and efficient use of SAP and other electronic tools;
  • Ensuring full compliance with Corporate Standard Operating Procedures and all Sarbanes Oxley required processes;
  • Displaying role model safety behavior and complying with Eastman’s safety and wellness musts; ensuring required HSES trainings are complete;
  • Leading, mentoring and coaching direct reports and setting clear guidelines; promoting a culture of external focus and internal value creation. Promote teamwork;
  • Overseeing the Planning, Inventory Management and Product Support Services processes, if applicable in close cooperation with regional and/or global Supply Managers;
  • Providing input to regional 3rd party service provider contracts in close cooperation with Logistics and procurement; ensuring business requirements are met;
  • Participating in the regional & global business aligned Supply and Consensus meetings in close cooperation with the Supply Managers. Serving as a link to regional Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) Teams as applicable;
  • Actively leading improvement projects resulting in improved service & cost position, optimal inventory and efficient distribution;
  • Utilizing corporate software programs and computer systems to monitor and analyze cost, forecast, production, demand, supply and other related data;
  • Designing, generating, maintaining and monitoring monthly Key Performance Indicators;
  • Leading the business aligned Americas Supply Chain Management team;
  • Being a member of the Regional Supply Chain Management Team, global business aligned Supply Chain Leadership Team and Americas regional cross-functional Business Team;
  • Supporting and advising the Regional Commercial / Sales Director of supply chain to meet and exceed the business segment objectives;
  • Staying informed on Business and Sales strategies; cooperating with Commercial and Business Managers ensuring business & customer needs are met;




Required Education:  Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.  Preferred Bachelor’s degrees include supply chain, engineering, operations management.  MBA or other Master’s Degree a plus.



  • A minimum of 5 years of Supply Chain or Manufacturing Management experience;
  • Strong project and people management skills;
  • Proven experience with planning and inventory management;
  • Track record in improving logistical processes and Supply Chain tools;
  • Stakeholder management in a matrix-driven structure;
  • Growth potential to take on more senior roles within the organization.
