Eastman is seeking a talented individual to join our team.  The Chemical Intermediates Marketing Organization supports the Sales, Pricing and Product Management functions across the different business groups within the organization with in-depth studies of market and competitive dynamics, as well as the development and implementation of tools to deepen understanding. As a Marketing intern in the Chemical Intermediates Organization, you will be immersed within the business and introduced to our various tools and techniques to enable you to provide data-based insights that drive business decisions.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Researching market segments and developing a point of view and rationale on which segments provide the greatest promise for a growth focus.
  • Creating or customizing analytics tools for commercial applications
  • Typical problems and projects include but are not limited to:
    • Analyzing growth rates within segments, trends, needs, competitors, etc.
    • Collaborating between technical and business groups within the company

Qualifications:

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (business, statistics, finance, accounting, or management sciences preferred)
  • Completion of the first year of an MBA or Master of Science degree in business analytics, statistics or management sciences.

     

Desired Skills / Experience

  • Interest in pursuing a career in marketing and/or analytics.
  • A solid understanding of marketing, sales, value management, and business operations
  • Working knowledge of statistics, modeling, and forecasting and the ability to use leading software packages in these areas
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft and Power BI applications is desired
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability and desire to interface with many people
  • Able to function in a matrixed organization
