Key member of the learning and Leadership Development team within Global Talent Management. Responsible for development and delivery of learning experiences that drive company culture, agile leadership, social/interpersonal skills, change management and leadership, and processes (e.g.; project management) and technologies so as to ensure development and maintenance of Eastman’s key strategic capabilities. Provides insight on complex/large projects. Mentors, assists and/or trains junior staff and may have direct supervisory responsibility.

  • Recognizes and advocates for developmental content that will accelerate business objectives.
  • Leads consultation with leaders and subject matter experts in the business/technical/functional areas to analyze, design, develop, implement and evaluate learning solutions such as courses, curricula, mobile/ online learning, action learning or related experiences (ADDIE Process).
  • Identifies appropriate delivery source (in-house, external) and manage relationships appropriately.
  • Relationship owner of key vendor relationships
  • Partners with Eastman Procurement to gain the best price for products and services.
  • Delivers/facilitates training (classroom, online, mobile, etc.)
  • Monitors and sustains Leader as Faculty talent pool
  • Monitors learning solution effectiveness via systems and processes, measures success and recommends adaptive action, if needed.
  • Consults with clients to determine development needs and design solution(s) to close gaps and meet business needs.
  • Leads learning and development projects by ensuring project team delivers to project scope, goals, deliverables, communications, milestones in collaboration with stakeholders. 
  • Drives change management plans working with appropriate subject matter experts and the client.
  • Monitor cost effectiveness and business impact of learning solutions.
  • Monitor offerings against business and people strategy. Recommend adjustments as indicated.


Required Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Instructional Design, Business, Human Resources, Education or related field.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years’ experience with demonstrated success in creating training programs, curriculums and materials.
  • Knowledge of adult/corporate learning and curriculum delivery systems (Learning Management System) strongly preferred.
  • Academic understanding and application of the ADDIE (Analysis-Design-Development-Implementation-Evaluation) process.
  • HPI (Human Performance Improvement) knowledge is desired.
  • Online course development (Storyline preferred)
  • Coaching certification (BluePoint or other external)
  • Social Styles, MBTI, Strengths Finder
