The Accountant II position is an individual contributor in which the individual supports a specific process, manufacturing division or function. The responsibilities are well-defined and require a  strong understanding of accounting fundamentals and principles pertinent to areas of responsibility. Work is typically reviewed by a more experienced team member or supervisor for accuracy.



  • Possesses and applies accounting principles and standard practices to the classification and recording of financial transactions
  • Participates as a member of teams within areas of responsibility appointed to study and resolve specific decision situations
  • Provides informal guidance to new teammates
  • Works with a moderate degree of supervision to perform the following responsibilities:
  • Performs monthly accounting responsibilities such as journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, external reporting, key controls, etc.
  • Prepares global / consolidated reporting for areas of responsibility such as manufacturing or functional areas, financial statement categories such as COGS, SGA, inventory, etc.
  • Completes deliverables required in support of key processes for areas of responsibility and key customers, such as corporate rolling forecast and strategy quantification, cost structure planning or statutory reporting
  • Identifies areas for improvement or productivity gain and makes recommendations regarding methods of achievement


  • Works to achieve expanded conceptual knowledge in own areas of responsibility and broadens capabilities
  • Works to acquire higher-level knowledge and building understanding of the company’s processes
  • Solves problems in straightforward situations
  • Analyzed possible solutions using experience and judgment
  • Explains complex information to others in straightforward situations
  • Foundational accounting
  • Working knowledge of key systems/tools  (SAP, BICL, ALPS, IDM, Excel, etc.)
  • Ability to develop trust-based relationships



  • Accounting/Finance degree
  • MAcc preferred
  • 2-5 years of accounting experience, typically
  • CPA encouraged
