Infrastructure Analyst (Kingsport, TN)

  • Designing, implementing, maintaining and troubleshooting IT infrastructure hardware and software systems
  • Manage day-to-day global infrastructure environment including documentation and training
  • Assist with architecting new infrastructure services and connectivity to meet changing business needs
  • Project work including design, justification, and implementation of new capabilities
  • Use of analysis tools to understand and improve the performance/functionality of specific applications
  • Learn proper security mechanisms to protect the infrastructure landscape from internal and external threats

     

Software Engineer (Kingsport, TN)

  • Develop an understanding of basic requirements of software engineering
  • Writing code, testing and debugging
  • Perform simple-to-moderate programming tasks in support of developing, modifying, and maintaining standard programs and applications
  • Performing testing and developing documentation at the task level
  • Validating the application satisfies user requirements

     

Business Solutions Analyst (Kingsport, TN)

  • Gain solid understanding of business processes and software applications that enable those processes
  • Provide day-to-day application support: address broke/fix, provide consultation, investigate data issues
  • Sustain-the-utility by addressing version upgrades, support packs, patches or software obsolescence
  • For new business needs, participate in stages of the software project life-cycle that generally include:  requirements gathering, investigation of solution options (purchased vs. custom), design, development, and testing/deployment
  • Lead small, less-complex projects

     

Project Manager (Kingsport, TN)

  • Execute change events in support of corporate strategic initiatives while being mentored to the extent needed by senior project managers or supervision.
  • Learn and practice problem-solving methodologies, process playbooks, change management tools, etc.
  • Grow skills for project planning to include proper scope definition, resource allocations, scheduling and adjustments to meet objectives.
  • Consult with project sponsors on requirements, keys to success, and execution strategies during project definition phases.
  • Grow skills to monitor progress, communicate project status and issues to team members and all stakeholders.
  • Intervene as needed to correct deviations, deal with issues and surface/mitigate conflict.
  • Seek resources and assistance to overcome technical, cultural, and functional barriers to progress.
  • Communicate the overall objectives, project progress, recommended improvements and results to stakeholders.
  • Build higher level knowledge of Eastman’s functions, processes, culture, customers, etc.

     

    Business Intelligence (Kingsport, TN)

  • Provide assistance in the development and support of BI solutions to help business partners gain insight by transforming raw data into information which ultimately help to create a competitive advantage for Eastman.
  • Begin developing understanding of Eastman data and relevant BI  technologies to meet business objectives.
  • Shares and communicates information with co-workers and supervisor in work unit.
  • Ability to summarize and communicate effectively moderately complex information in varied written formats to business partners.
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the Data Science organization as well as embedded business analysts to ensure the BI needs of Eastman are met.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in small agile teams to improve the operations of immediate work group by offering ideas, identifying issues, and respecting team members.

     

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or comparable degrees
  • Less than 2 years of post-graduate experience is preferred.
