Operations Technician
Responsibilities
The process technician controls equipment systems that process chemical substances into specified products.
- Ensure plant equipment is properly lined up, controlled, and monitored for safe and efficient operations
- Responsible for the operation of the production units, boilers and cooling towers, waste treatment unit, and product loading.
- Perform minor maintenance and laboratory work
- Perform equipment cleaning
- Initiate work permits to ensure safety/efficiency of plant equipment
- Active participation and compliance with site Total Safety Process
- Understand and comply with good manufacturing practices to support quality and safety of animal feed (as part of FAMI-QS) and overall product quality (as part of ISO 9001).
- Must be able to work in an industrial environment, which includes lifting 50 lbs., climbing to heights, work in confined spaces, and passing a physical/respirator fit test
- Ability to serve on emergency response team/fire brigade
- Ability to learn and qualify in multiple unit processes
- Flexibility to work rotating 12 hour shifts, weekends, holidays, and call-outs
Qualifications
EDUCATION:

EXPERIENCE: 2-5 years experience in a petrochemical or manufacturing environment. |
